Nicolette Forbes is a coastal ecologist with MER (Marine & Estuarine Research) in South Africa and has been strongly focussing on the investigations done on estuary function and restorations at the coast.
This work has covered specialist input to legal disputes, oil spills, inappropriate development and exploitation and restoration in coastal and marine environments.
Her experience has seen this accumulated research with KwaZulu-Natal coastal zone habitats, culminate in her lead as the project coordinator of the country’s largest Restoration Project within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park (previously known as the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park), South Africa’s first World Heritage Site.
